Texas Legation Bourbon has been added to Berry Bros. & Rudd’s premium range of spirits.
The Bourbon, which is distilled by brothers Jonathan and Robert Likarish at their Ironroot Republic distillery in Denison, Texas; then blended by Douglas McIvor of Berry Bros. & Rudd Ltd, London, celebrates the historic alliance between Britain’s oldest wine merchant and the ”Lone Star” state of the USA.
Doug McIvor, spirits buyer at Berry Bros. & Rudd described Texas Legation as a “young, bold Bourbon” with “enticing aromas of vanilla, honey, toffee, bananas and fresh bread. To taste, it’s lively and succulent, with flavours of red apples and toffee, rich molasses and a twist of black pepper. Luscious, lingering and very moreish.”
According to Ironroot Republic distiller Robert Likarish, he and his brother “sent a selection of samples to be blended by the team at Berry Bros. & Rudd in London and Doug McIvor worked his magic”.
Likarish reminded how spirits like this have “a way of bringing people together” and emphasised how Ironroot Republic distillery was “delighted to have this opportunity to collaborate with Britain’s oldest wine and spirit merchant.”
Texas Legation is available online and in store from Berry Bros. & Rudd and available to the trade through Fields, Morris & Verdin (links above).
Texas Legation Bourbon will retail at £49.85.
